 Tel-Aviv-Jaffa through local eyes

The Local aims to promote independent artists and small businesses in Tel Aviv-Jaffa from the various design, craft and cultural fields through tours that uncover the people who work and create in the city. 

The tours were born out of my love for the Tel-Aviv and its history, for design and aesthetics, while personally having experienced the difficulties and challenges independent designers and small  businesses face in our competitive digital world.

My tours include meeting designers and artisans, visiting unique boutiques and shops, while learning the local history and exploring the urban life.

About me:

My name is Michal Minsky. I was born and raised in Tel Aviv and have been guiding tours in the city for over a decade.

I have a BA in Art History from Tel Aviv University, and have worked at iconic local cultural institutions such as the Bauhaus Center, the PhotoHouse, and the Eretz Israel Museum. I have conducted visual historical research of the city and owned my own jewelry brand, ‘Miss Minsky’.
